New Chief of Staff appointed for the President

President Mohamed Nasheed has today appointed Ahmed Mausoom, G. Pleasant Waves, to the position of Chief of Staff at the President’s Office. The President also decided that the position would be of ministerial level in rank.

Ahmed Mausoom had been working in the President’s Office prior to today’s appointment as the Finance Secretary.

With the new appointment, he will take up all responsibilities in relation to the day-to-day administration of the President’s Office as per the directions of the President.
