Supreme Court rules in favour of JSC in case on appointment of judges to High Court

Supreme Court has overruled the High Court ruling which annulled the policy established by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) regarding the appointment of judges to High Court.

This came in relation to a case filed by lawyers Anas Abdul Sattar and Hassan Fiyaz on behalf of JSC, to Supreme Court.

Earlier, High Court annulled JSC’s policy and asked the commission to create a new policy on appointing judges to High Court.
