Man fined, sentenced to ten years in prison for drug trafficking

A man has been fined MVR 50,000 and sentenced to ten years in prison for drug trafficking.

Criminal Court found Masdhoog, Seenu Hulhudhoo, guilty of drug trafficking through evidence and testimonies by witnesses produced in court by the State.

Police found Masdhoog with drugs in his possession in a room in M. Silver Shark, when police entered the room after assault was reported from the house on 1 April 2012.

The court ordered him to pay the fine within one month.
