Search efforts ceased for doctor who went missing in Fuvahmulah

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that search operation for the doctor who went missing while swimming off Fuvahmulah, has been concluded.

Information Officer of MNDF Adnan Mohamed told Sun Online today that although MNDF has ceased its operation, information about the missing person has been provided to foreign rescue teams.

The search operation went on for seven days, said Adnan.

The Pakistani doctor who works at Fuvahmulah Hospital went missing on 10 May, while swimming with his wife near Maaneru off Fuvahmulah.
