Former President Nasheed taken to Mal

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has been taken to Malé to see a doctor.

Nasheed is executing a 13-year prison sentence after being found guilty of terrorism on 13 March 2015, in relation to the arrest of Chief Judge of Criminal Court Abdulla Mohamed back in 2012.

Sources have told Sun Online that Nasheed will consult a dentist at Senehiya Hospital.

His supporters gathered outside the hospital in anticipation of his arrival.

Ministry of Home Affairs has said that an apartment has been set up for Nasheed at Maafushi Prison.
