Man sentenced to 11 years in prison following eighth theft conviction

A man has been convicted of theft for an eighth time and sentenced to 11 years and 1 month in prison.

Ahmed Ilhaz Rasheed was found guilty by Criminal Court, of stealing MVR 31,008 from a bag in a room in an apartment on the third floor of H. Feeroazhiya in Malé on 11 February 2015.

Ilhaz had confessed to the crime in court.
