PSM to organise debate between Dhiggaru By-election candidates

Public Service Media (PSM) has announced plans to hold a debate between the four Dhiggaru By-election candidates.

PSM said that the debate will be held and broadcast on Television Maldives (TVM) and Voice of Maldives at 9:00 p.m. on 1 June.

The by-election has been set for 6 June.

PSM said in a statement that the purpose of the debate is to allow the candidates to present themselves and their developmental plans for the constituency.

PSM, being the public broadcaster, will give equal opportunity to all candidates and provide relevant information to allow voters the chance to decide themselves which candidate deserves their vote, read the statement.

The four individuals running for the Dhiggaru seat are Ahmed Faris Maumoon, Ahmed Raazee, Moosa Naseer, and Shameem Ali.
