Former MP Eesa released

Police have released former Kendhikulhudhoo MP Ahmed Eesa this afternoon.

Police said that he was released as recommended by doctors, to go abroad for medical treatment.

Eesa has been receiving treatment at ADK Hospital for a spinal injury since the protest on 1 May.
