EU has called to the parties not to fuel the heated political state

European Union (EU) has called to the political parties of the country not to do anything that might heat up the political state of the country.

The Norwegian ambassador to Sri Lanka leading the EU emissary to the Madlives issued a press release today saying that the EU condemns the conflicts at the protest in Maldives on the 1 May.

EU has asked the major political parties in the country to resolve the political issues by discussions. And since the protest did not go as peacefully as promised by the political parties, EU has raised it’s concerns.

The European Parliament U also passes a resolution against the Maldives on 30 April. The resolution called to the Maldives to stop impeding peaceful protestors and condemning the reintroduction of capital punishment in the Maldives.
