A resort staff has been arrested for misappropriation

A staff of Shangri-La’ Vilingli Resort and Spa has been arrested for misappropriation of USD 68,000 (MVR 1.04 million).

Police media official told Sun Media that a 25-year-old local staff at the resort was arrest on Thursday for misappropriation of a large amount of money.

“It was a case reported on Thursday. And an arrest was made with a court order on that day, five days have been added to his custody.” Media official said.

Sources say that the individual arrested works at the finance department.

Police are currently investigating the misappropriation from the resort.
