Commissioner of Police, Hussain Waheed has said that dogs capable of detecting liquor would be brought to the Maldives very soon.
At an interview to Sun Media today, Commissioner Waheed said that five more dogs would be brought into the country very soon after their training. And such of such dogs in police operations would be a strength in the search of alcohol manufacturers.
“Once these Faara (dogs) are brought in, they would be an added strength in the search of alcohol manufacturers in the woods of the islands. These Faara (dogs) are capable of detecting liquor.” Commissioner said.
Commissioner Waheed also said that they are trying to if the current dogs with the Police could be trained to detect liquor.
