Economic Ministry to re-evaluate Get Set loan program

Ministry of Economic Development has decided to re-evaluate the Get Set loan program.

The program has been halted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and was transferred from Ministry of Youth and Sports to Ministry of Economic Development yesterday.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development Adam Thaufeeg said that the Minister of Economic Development has requested a re-evaluation of the application forms, regardless of ACC’s decision.

The application process for the Get Set loans ended in February 2015. Get Set is a MVR 300,000 to MVR 800,000 loan program aimed for young people who are starting new businesses, with an interest rate of 0 to 8 percent.
