Dhiggaru by-election announced

Elections Commission scheduled the by-election for Dhiggaru constituency for 13 June 2015.

The commission said in an announcement today that individuals who wish to run for Dhiggaru seat can collect the application form from the commission from 15 to 28 April 2015, on week days between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

On non-working days, the form will be available from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the commission said.

Dhiggaru seat became vacant when former Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Nazim was convicted of fraud and sentenced to lifetime imprisonment by Supreme Court.
