India helps evacuate Maldivian student from Yemen

India has helped evacuate a Maldivian student from Yemen, where fighting is ongoing between Houthi rebels and government forces.

The High Commission of Maldives in India, on its official Twitter account last night, thanked India for its help.

The Maldivian student was evacuated during an operation by the Indian government on Sunday to remove Indians from Yemen. According to reports, by yesterday, 1,052 Indian citizens had been evacuated from Yemen.
