A second man has been arrested in the murder of the foreign waiter inside “Lhiyanu Café” at the South West harbour.
The Bangladeshi waiter, Shaheen Mia was killed by a group of masked men inside “Lhiyanu Café” where he works on 22 March.
Police said that the second man, 24 years of age was arrested tonight around 9:30 p.m. with a court order. The Police did not give any further information about the suspect aside from his age.
A 21-year-old Maldivian was also arrested earlier today in relation to the murder.
The case is being investigated by the Serious and Organized Crime Department of the Police.
The 29-year-old waiter died from knife wounds to his chest and back. IGMH confirmed that he was dead on arrival.
