Three people including minor arrested with machetes

Three people have been arrested with a sack containing ten machetes.

Police said that two of the suspects are aged 19, while the other is aged 15.

They were arrested at 3:45 a.m. on Buruzu Magu in Henveyru on Monday morning, after being searched, following suspicious behaviour, by police officers who were patrolling the area at the time, said police.

Police also said that the two 19-year-olds had been stopped and questioned by the police on several occasions.

The case is under investigation by the police Serious and Organised Crime Department.
