Foreign worker stabbed to death in caf

A foreign worker from Bangladesh has died after being stabbed by a group of masked men at Lhiyanu Café in Malé.

A police spokesperson told Sun Online that the incident took place at around 4:00 a.m., and the victim’s death has been confirmed by the hospital.

Whether he died after arriving the hospital, or earlier, is yet unknown.

The victim had been stabbed in the chest, and further details will be known after the doctors’ report, said police.

There were reports of a foreign worker being stabbed in the same café some time ago as well. It is yet unknown if the man who died last night, was the same person who was stabbed then.
