Laamu atoll hosts Sports Camp celebrating Women

Lammu atoll has hosted a special Sports Camp commemorating the International Women’s Day.

The event held at Fonadhoo Education Center yesterday evening was inaugurated at the ceremony held in Fonadhoo last Thursday.

The Sports Camp ended today at Gan with a football practice.

Speaking about the event organized by Ministry of Gender, the State Minister of Gender, Dr. Hala Hameed said that the purpose of the camp was to introduce football to the female students and to prove to them that sports is for both genders.

The female students from the primary schools of Gan and Fonadhoo took part in the Sports Camp inaugurated by the Home Minister, Umar Naseer.
