A warehouse has been burned down by a fire

Security forces are active near the Petrol Sheds in the city. And MNDF is overlooking security at STELCO. Smoke is still rising from the burned down warehouse. Water is still being pumped to the warehouse from the rooftops of nearby houses. The whole area is smoky.

Information officer of MNDF Major Adnaan Mohamed the fire has been controlled and no one was injured in the fire. He also said that the cause of the fire is not clear yet.

The fire at M. Orchid Villa has been controlled. Evacuated people have gone back to their houses. The warehouse has been burnt beyond use.

Fires have been started at a place near the sports stadium. The fires were started by two men who went there on motorbikes. Witnesses say they threw a "petrol bomb" to set the fire. Police are securing the auction house. The fire near the stadium have been controlled.

An executive of Lily Store told Sun Media that there was a 4T pickup truck and two vans were inside the warehouse which caught fire and it's not confirmed that those vehicles caught fire.

The warehouse, made of tin sheets and metal pipes have burned completely. The tin sheets have melted with the heat. Fire still not under control.

The fire has spread to a nearby house house. The fire has been caught on two floors. Police, Fire teams and locals are coordinating to control the fire.

Powerful explosions were heard when the fire started. No such sounds are heard at the time. Four firetrucks are working to control the fire.

Evacuation of the surrounding houses have started. Some people are on the streets in their nightgowns. The family of PG Muhthaaz is among the people.

The fire which started at warehouse of Lily Store in Maafannu is still not under control. Security forces are working to control the fire with the aid of civilians.
