Construction of the Meedhoo football pitch

The construction of the Meedhoo football pitch project has begun today. The contract signing was between Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) and Meedhoo Council was held at a special ceremony this morning.

The Managing Director of MRDC, Ibrahim Nazeer signed on behalf of the company and the President of the Meedhoo Council, Ahmed Aslam represented the island.

After the ceremony, the construction of the pitch started today with the leveling of the field.

President of the Meedhoo Council said that the project includes the fence around the pitch aside from the expanding, leveling and hardening of the pitch. And a running track would be around the football pitch by the end of the project.

The project to develop the football pitch of the Dhaalu atoll Meedhoo is part of the Sports Area Concepts by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
