The biggest tourism fair in the Russia, the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition has started today.
The Deputy Director of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Ibrahim Asim said that 41 exhibitors from 23 companies of Maldives is taking part in the event. Speaking to Sun Media from Moscow, Ibrahim Asim said that information about the Maldives would be shared with the media in Russia especially about the new resorts being opened in Maldives.
2056 exhibitors from 203 countries around the world are taking part in this year’s event.
Russia is the fourth biggest market for the Maldivian tourism industry. In 2014, 66, 308 tourists from Russia visited the Maldives. This is a 13.3 percent increase from the year 2013.
