Protests calling for the resignation of MP Mahloof

Protests calling for the resignation of the MP for the South-Galolhu constituents, Ahmed Mahloof was organized by the youth of the community today.

The protesters in the rally that started in front of the Galolhu Madharusa tonight were calling for the MP’s resignation. And his tone has changed from the “sweet dreams” he showed to the South-Galolhu constituents before he got elected.

After expressing their emotion near the Galolhu Madharusa , the protesters went near the residence of the MP Mahloof. The protesters left the area when the SO police came and asked to leave.

The demonstration ended after the protesters claimed that they would come back with even more people next time.

MP Ahmed Mahloof is a former member of the PPM’s parliamentary group before he was dismissed from PPM. Mahloof has raised his voice against the government even before he was dismissed.

Regarding the protest, MP Mahloof told Sun Media that he is not aware that the members of the protest tonight belonged to his constituency.
