Runaway found at Villimale

The 16 year old girl has been found and returned to the family by the police.

A Police Media Official said the girl 16 year old Fathimath Rashoof who ran away from her family on the March 3 was found near the Bank of Maldives area at Villimale’ around 2:15 p.m. this afternoon. The girl was reported by locals, said the police.

Police did not share the girl’s whereabouts in the missing days or the reason she ran away.

While the police get runaway cases every now and then, the majority of the cases are of children under 18 years of age.
