The sixth seaplane acquired by national airline, Maldivian, has arrived last night.
Head of Administration of Maldivian Ali Nashath told Sun Online that the aircraft will commence operations in about ten days.
All six seaplanes acquired by Maldivian are DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft.
Maldivian operates scheduled seaplane flights to Thaa atoll, Baa atoll, and Dhaalu atoll; and chartered flights to many atolls including Haa Alifu atoll.
Maldivian launched efforts to introduce seaplane services in October 2013.
