Police confiscate petrol bottles from under pick-up truck

Several bottles containing petrol have been confiscated by police from under a pick-up truck on Alikilegefaanu Magu.

The Sun reporter who visited the scene said that police confiscated six Rani juice bottles filled with petrol, following a tip-off. No one has been arrested yet.

A protest led by opposition parties Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and Jumhooree Party (JP) was held at the area on Saturday night as well.
