Nine released from the arrests last night

Nine people have been released from the arrests made at the MDP-JP protest last night.

A police media official told Sun Media today that 36 people were arrested at the demonstration last night.

But 27 of the arrested were released last night, tells the official. Among the released last night includes an underage teen as well.

MDP and JP supporters rallied in the streets last night demanding the release of the former president Mohamed Nasheed and the release of Colonel-retired Nazim from police custody and called for the resignation of President Yameen even though JP said their rally would not leave Raalhugandu area.
