Child attacked with a sharp object

A 14 year old child has been attacked and wounded with a sharp object tonight.

Police media official said that the incident occurred at around 7:45 tonight in an alley at Bodurasgefaanu Magu.

According to a family source, the child’s left elbow was wounded with a sharp object by a group and that the group attacked the child by mistake; thinking he was actually someone else.

An official of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) said that the child is under treatment and no serious injuries were reported by the doctors.
