Non-Resident High Commissioner to Singapore presents credentials, thanks Singapore for support

Non-Resident High Commissioner of Maldives to Singapore Fathimath Inaya presented her Letter of Credence to the President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam on Thursday at a ceremony held at Istana, the official Presidential residence.

During the meeting held after the presentation ceremony, Inaya conveyed warm greetings and good wishes from President Abdulla Yameen to President Tony Tan, and expressed appreciation for the continued support rendered by Singapore, especially in the development of socio-economic and human resource sectors of Maldives.

Remarking on the value of the close ties of friendship with Singapore, Inaya expressed interest in exploring possibilities of increasing bilateral trade and investments between the two countries, and expressed her determination and deep desire to work closely with the government of Singapore to enhance and elevate the existing bilateral ties to a new level during her tenure.
