Former Defense Minister Colonel Retired Mohamed Nazim’s passport has been seized under warrant issued by court when he was going to depart to abroad.

A reliable source has assured to Sun Online that Nazim has been blacklisted by Immigration Department with the warrant issued by the court to seize his passport.

Police also have confirmed that Nazim’s passport has been held.

Sun Online has learned that Nazim’s passport has been seized for a duration of one month.

While the former Defense Miniser’s passport has been held, investigation is being carried out by police on seizing dangerous weapons from Nazim’s apartment following a raid. Police have also said that they do not get “sufficient contribution” from Nazim for the investigation.

Police have raided Nazim’s apartment at around 3:15 a.m. on 17 of this month and according to police, they confiscated a pistol and three bullets from the apartment.

Nazim’s Legal team, led by former Attorney General Aishath Azima Shakoor has said that the former Defense Minister has nothing to do with the alleged weapons found in his apartment by the police.
