Minaret renovation completed

Renovation of the minaret, historical monument and a tourist attraction, which looked un-maintained have been completed.

Director General of Heritage Department Ali Waheed said that a lot of effort have been made to decorate and renovate the minaret this time.

Ali Waheed said that though outside of Minaret is completed now, its inside can be renovated as the Department receives what is required for renovation. He added that the Department’s target is to renovate the minaret annually.

Heritage Department has thanked RKL, Village Construction and STO for helping in the renovation of the minaret.

Friday Mosque Minaret was last renovated in the month of August 2013 through a private group.
