Two injured after wall collapses in Hulhumal

A wall under construction has collapsed in Hulhumalé, injuring two people.

An eyewitness told Sun Online that the incident, wherein two construction workers were caught under a falling wall, took place at around 10:30 a.m. on Bodu Magu.

He said that the two men have been taken away on an ambulance by the police.

Police said that the situation was being attended to, after the incident was reported at 10:35 a.m. They did not provide details.

An official of Hulhumalé Hospital, where the two victims are receiving treatment, told Sun Online that their injuries were not life-threatening, but efforts were ongoing to take one of them, who suffered a leg fracture, to Malé.
