President Maumoon congratulates Minister Moosa Ali Jaleel

Leader of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and the former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom has congratulated former Chief of Defense Force Moosa Ali Jaleel on being appointed as the new Minister of Defense after Mohamed Nazim has been dismissed from the post.

Maumoon has congratulated Moosa Ali Jaleel in a tweet he posted from his official twitter account.

Moosa Ali Jaleel, who has joined ruling party PPM, held the post of Ambassador to Pakistan until appointed as the Minister of Defense.

Before his retirement on 8 February 2012, Moosa Ali Jaleel has won ten medals including Long Service Medal, 3 November Medal, Purple Heart, Centenary Medal and Medal for Exceptional Bravery and have earned 9 Service Ribbons.
