Ministry of Education has inaugurated a training program for Arabic Language teachers on using modern education and technological advances in teaching Arabic language in classrooms.
A total of 28 participants including 10 participants from atolls have participated in the program organized by Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in collaboration with National Commission for UNESCO.
According to Education Ministry, sessions are being taken by facilitators of ISESCO in this four days’ training program held at National Institute of Education (NIE).
In the opening ceremony of the training program, Chief Guest of the ceremony, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham said that it is very important to know Arabic language to be a better Muslim and providing opportunity for Arabic literacy is a pledge of the government.
Speaking in the opening ceremony, ISESCO representative Adel Burai said that in order to overcome the challenges faced by the Muslim society, it is very important to learn how to incorporate modern education and technological advances.
