Two people have been arrested, one for threatening to set fire to the Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo Police Station, and the other for issuing death threats to police officers at that police station.
Police said that the suspects are aged 20 and 23, and were arrested at 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. respectively.
The 23-year-old has a crime record for drugs and assault using sharp weapons, said police, while the 20-year-old has a crime record for drugs, gang assaults, and causing damage to state property.
The two incidents are under investigation by the Gadhdhoo Police Station.
Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo Police Station was burned in an arson attack on 8 February 2012. Following this incident, the state has charged several people, including two people from Gadhdhoo, with terrorism.
