Two arrested with alcohol in Hulhumale

Two Maldivians have been arrested with bottles of alcohol in Hulhumale’.

Police said that the suspects are men aged 21 and 22, and that they were arrested by patrol officers at 10:40 p.m. last night (Tuesday night).

They were riding their motorcycles on Gulzaaru Hingun on Hulhumale’ when they were stopped and checked following suspicious behaviour, said police.

Police also arrested a group of foreigners with alcohol in Hulhumale’ yesterday.

The case is under investigation.
