President Abdulla Yameen has said that there is no better time than now, to invest in the Maldives.
The President made this remark while speaking at an investment briefing session for the business delegation from Saudi Arabia, held at Traders Hotel this morning.
He said that the government is committed to diversifying the economy while simultaneously developing the tourism product, which fuels the country’s economic growth.
“This year, our GDP growth rate is forecasted to grow at 8.8 percent, while the coming year, we expect the economy to grow at over 10 percent,” said the President.
He further said that Maldives would always have its doors open for its Muslim brothers in pursuing mutually beneficial endeavours. Concluding his speech, he said that Muslims work hard on attaining heaven, and called on the delegation to invest in ‘heaven on earth’, the Maldives.
