MDA calls not to provide opportunities to influence on internal affairs

Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) has urged not to facilitate any foreign influence on internal affairs of Maldives.

A statement released by the leader of MDA Ahmed Siyam to greet all Maldivians on the occasion of the National day read that, in this special day, all Maldivians must think about the historic jihad by Boduthakurufaanu and the actual reason for such a jihad.

It is a fact that Portuguese were able to occupy Maldives with assistance from some Maldivians who wanted the ruling power, read the statement.

Siyam mentioned that there are people who allow foreign influence in various ways to internal matters of Maldives even at present.

It was stated in the statement that each of such actions would weaken the pillars of nationality and would allow foreigners, especially those who are enemies of Muslims to occupy Maldives.

MDA leader has recognized and thanked the continuous effort made by the President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom in developing Maldives in his statement.
