Police starts search for foreigner suspected of child abuse

Police have started searching for a foreigner who is suspected of sexually abusing a child.

Police said that they have started searching for a Bangladeshi man named Baslu Miya, 28 after the case has been reported to Gan of Addu City Police Station.

Sun Online has learned that the foreigner accused for committing sexual abuse had been sexually abusing a 15 year old girl.

Police said that they were searching for the man under warrant issued by the court and have urged anyone who has any information on him to step forward and contact the police hotline 3322111 or contact Police Station of Gan in Addu City on 9792058.

While cases of child abuse by foreigners have been on the rise recently, a foreign worker has been arrested from Fuvahmulaku in last October.
