Maldivian flight scheduled to depart Hanimaadhoo last night, delayed until morning

Passengers scheduled to depart on a Maldivian flight from Hanimaadhoo to Trivandrum, India, last night, have been stranded in Hanimaadhoo until this morning after the aircraft faced a technical problem.

Head of Administration of national airline Maldivian Ali Nashath told Sun Online that the flight was scheduled to take off at midnight last night.

He said that another flight has departed from Male’ at 9:15 a.m. en route to Hanimaadhoo, which will transport the waiting passengers to Trivandrum.

The same flight will carry passengers from Trivandrum to Maldives at 2:00 p.m. today, said Nashath.

A Maldivian flight was also delayed in Trivandrum on 11 December, following a fuel leak.
