A Chinese family who came to Maldives for their vacation has donated ten cases of water to Maldives.
A family; husband, wife and their daughter who came by Mega Maldives flight has donated water to Maldives in an event held on Saturday at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA).
After donating water, Chinese tourist Wei said to media that he wanted to donate water as a tourist to help people living in Male’.
“I have come to know about water crisis in Male’ from Internet. That’s why I brought 10 cases of water. I want to help Male’ people as a tourist” said the family who came to Maldives for the first time.
Chinese family handed over the cases of water to Embassy of China in Maldives. Embassy has emphasised on the support of Immigration Department to Chinese tourists and has handed over water cases to Immigration Department.
By giving information to media, Zubair Mohamed, Chief Superintendent of Immigration thanked China government and Embassy and said that donation of water from China indicates that China has valued the services provided for their tourists by Immigration Department of Maldives.
