Nurse sentenced to six months in prison for producing, possession of pornographic materials

Criminal Court has sentenced a nurse of Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo Health Center to six months in prison for producing and possession of pornographic materials.

While Fathimath Fazla of Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo Giriteege has been sentenced to six months prison for producing pornographic materials, she has been fined MVR 20,700 for possession of pornography. Fazla has been sentenced to complete the payment within one month to the Criminal Court.

Two memory cards containing pornographic pictures and videos have been found on 19 January 2011 from Fazla’s residence to police. Fazla has been found having sexual relationship with some boys in the videos and pictures. It has been confirmed that the person in those pornographic materials was Fazla from analysis report made by police.

She has been found guilty for the charges over her after a dildo and many pornographic pictures and a CD have been found from a drawer of a wardrobe in her room.

Fazla has been charged by the state for abusing a child sexually and having sexual relationship with a family member while serving in a responsible post. However Criminal Court has sentenced that Fazla was not found guilty for these charges earlier.
