In that regard, Minister said that development of resorts in Maldives is an area that is prioritized by the Government.
“In order to speed up the work of 15 resorts that will be brought to market in a near future, duty will not be taken from goods brought to resorts and facilities would be established for the cargo ships to arrive resorts directly” said the Minister.
Apart from this, Minister said that government has started a vast project to develop airport in order to improve tourism in Maldives. He added that efforts will be made to develop hardware and software aiming to improve the services provided by businesses.
