Amjad Musthafa appointed as Member of EC

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom has appointed Amjad Musthafa of Alivaage, Gaafu Alifu Maamendhoo as a Member of Elections Commission (EC) at a ceremony held on Monday morning at the President’s Office.

Amjad Musthafa took the oath of office as a Member of the EC before the Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Areef prior to the presentation of the Letter of Appointment.

Parliament has approved Amjad Musthafa’s name as a member of EC in Wednesday’s meeting with 63 votes.
