Villa College becomes a member of ACU

Villa College has become the first Maldivian institution to become a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).

The ACU is the world's first and oldest international university network, established in 1913.

Director of Development and Enterprise of Villa College Mohamed Azeem Haroon said that the college was accepted as a member of ACU last Friday.

He said that this would facilitate opportunities for exchange programs and research programs for students and staff, with other member institutions.

A UK-registered charity, the ACU has 535 member institutions from 37 countries across the Commonwealth.

Notable ACU members include University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of London, University of Melbourne, and National University of Singapore.
