Two principals arrested on suspicion of stealing laptop

The Principals of Utheemu School and Maarandhoo School in Haa Alifu Atoll have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a laptop donated to Utheemu School.

Vice President of Maarandhoo Council Ahmed Shafiu told Sun Online that the Principal of Utheemu School sent the laptop to the Principal of Maarandhoo School, an Indian citizen, and asked him to send it to Male’.

Shafiu said that the Maarandhoo School Principal was arrested last night. It has not been possible to get a comment from the police in relation to this matter at the time of publication.
