BML to introduce US Dollar ATMs

Bank of Maldives PLC (BML) revealed plans to launch the service to withdraw and deposit US Dollar through ATMs in a near future.

In a news conference held at the head office of BML on Tuesday to provide information on new services to be introduced by BML, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of BML Andrew Healy said that this service would initially be available at the ground floor of the Bank’s Headquarters in Male’.

“I have talked a lot today about the problem of bank queues in Maldives, including in BML. The introduction of US Dollar ATMs will represent an obvious and important way of tackling those queues and will provide a convenient way to access dollars for our customers. I expect the service to be very popular. Our first dollar ATM will be up and running in our Headquarters building before the end of the year” said Andrew Healy.

Customers of BML can also deposit, make payments, pay utility bills and make loan or credit card payments from ATMs from Tuesday onwards.
