Police have started taking children, unable to go to school due to rain, to school on their vehicles.
Sun reporters have observed police taking children on their vehicles from Vilingili Ferry Terminal and Hulhumale’ Ferry Terminal, to take them to school.
The police spokesperson told Sun Online that several of their vehicles are being used for this purpose, as many children are stranded due to heavy rain and flooding.
“We will provide this service until the difficulties faced due to the rain are solved,” said the police spokesperson.
People in Male’ are facing serious difficulties moving from place to place, as the roads are flooded due to heavy rain.
