Deputy Speaker of Parliament Moosa Manik has announced at today’s parliament sitting, that the nomination by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom for the post of Ambassador to India, has been sent to the Parliament Committee on National Security for evaluation.

The President’s nomination for this post is Ambassador-At-Large Ahmed Mohamed.

Ahmed Mohamed served as Minister of Economic Development in former President Dr Mohamed Waheed’s administration. President Yameen first appointed him as Commissioner General, and later as Ambassador-At-Large.
