INIA runway reopened after fuel leak incident

The runway of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA), which was closed following fuel leak from an aircraft, has been reopened.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) spokesperson told Sun Online that the runway was closed after hydraulic fuel leaked from Singapore Airlines flight SQ-452 aircraft, and that it was reopened at around 12:30 a.m. after the fuel was cleared.

The INIA runway was closed on 6 September as well, following a fuel leak incident involving a Singapore Airlines aircraft.
