One person arrested with 2 kg hash oil released and three people

One person has been released and the other three people have been given ten days of detention among the four people arrested from two houses in Male’ on suspicion of possession of hash oil.

Police said that Criminal Court has approved two peoples' detention for ten more days under police custody and the woman arrested was given ten days’ home confinement, when the four people arrested on suspicion of possession of hash oil during searches conducted on two houses in Maafannu, under search warrants issued by the court were taken to the court.

Police said that the other person arrested was released by the Criminal Court.

Police has said that the four people they arrested with this case were all Maldivians and they are a 20-year-old woman, and three men aged 31, 34 and 37.

The four people have been arrested with about 2 kilograms of hash oil during an operation conducted by Drug Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Department last Sunday. The case is under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Department.
